I'm Margaux, the artist behind la manteca studio.
As a trained painter and astrologer, I've spent years studying color, symbolism, and birth charts.

Every decision, from the palette to the composition, is informed by your chart while leaving room for your personal taste and story.
Together we make a piece that is unmistakably you.
How it works:

Share your birth information.
You'll send your birth date, birth time, and birthplace so I can study your chart.

Reserve your place.
A $100 USD deposit secures your one-on-one design session and your production slot.

We design your sweater together.
Before we meet, I create several custom color directions inspired by your chart.
During our session, we'll choose the palette and design that best reflects your symbolism, your aesthetic, and the way you want to move through the world.

I knit your astro sweater by hand.
Once the design is finalized and the remaining balance is paid, I begin making your sweater.
Each one is handmade over +20 hours using carefully selected natural fibers.

One Commission Each Month
Every astro sweater is designed in close collaboration with one person and knitted entirely by hand.
From studying your birth chart to developing custom colorways and knitting the final garment, each piece takes weeks to complete.
For that reason, I accept one commission per month.
Once the month's commission is reserved, bookings open again the following month.
